Celebrating 4th of July

Yesterday me and my family had a cookout at our local park. We tried to get there early, but it was already packed and no where to park. Tried to get to the beach area, but it was so crowded, probably wasn't enough room to swim anyway. I really didn't want to go because I hate being in the sun and surrounded by bugs and mosquitos. We really didn't have any idea how big the park was, thankfully we found a nice shaded area to cookout, and their was actually quite a breeze outside. A family reunion was located down the hill from us and playing Michael Jackson's Number Ones. Thankfully the music made it more relaxing to enjoy the outdoors.

Later that evening I hung out with my friends, put on some black and gold eyeshadow with a cute mini skirt I bought from Wet Seal and went downtown for a night out of partying. Got back home around 2:00 am in the morning. It was really nice to get together, I go back to school monday. 2 classes left and i'll be done with college!

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!

Can't believe Michael Jackson is gone, I remember as a child, BET would play all of his music videos. I would sit in front of the tv and just look at how such an amazing singer and performer he was. I can't believe the King of Pop is gone, but he will always be remembered and his music will live on. No one else can do what he has done, Michael Jackson is one of a kind and there will be no other!

Just earlier that day, Farrah Fawcett's death was on the news. Me and my mom were just discussing on our way to my grandparents house how every year their seems to be a celebrity death. It shocked me when my family told me Michael Jackson had passed away. I said "no he didn't" they said yes he did, look at the tv. Complete shock!
